What age group are your toys best suited to?While the majority of toys are best suited for children aged 0 - 12 years old, we do have a wide range of puzzles, board games, sporting activities and more which are perfect for the whole family.

How much is a Toy Library membership?Membership Costs: Family Membership $120 Concession $100 Six Month Membership $70 Increased Borrowing $25 Membership Prices correct as of July 2024. The Family Membership is a general membership for families. Family membership holders are entitled to borrow up to 8 items at a time, (12 for those with increased borrowing rights). All items can be borrowed for one month. Renewal is available All members must adhere to the Membership Information Statement, please ask staff for a copy.

How do I purchase a membership?Memberships are currently set up in person when you visit us at 20 Ebdale St, Frankston VIC 3199. Please note we do not accept cash, only EFT. Opening hours: Monday 10am - 2pm Thursday - 10am - 4pm Friday - 10am - 4pm Saturday - 10am - 4pm

Do you have developmental toys?Our developmental needs toy section has a large range of toys to cater for children and young adults of all disabilities and special needs. Items for borrowing include: Feelings games Emotion puzzles Body part games Bell balls for the hearing impaired Body socks - sensory socks Down Syndrome dolls Sensory dominos Hearing differentiation toys Community helper toys Disability figurines Bead frames Dressing frames (zip, laces, buckles, etc.) Coloured wooden frames Wobble boards Scooter boards Balance bowls (for building core strength) Mindfulness cards Books for children and carers Plus many other toys around the library would suit children with additional needs. Come on into the library and take a look for yourself.

How often are toys cleaned?Upon return, each individual item is cleaned and sanitized by our incredible volunteers before returning to the shelves to be borrowed again.

Can I donate toys?Yes! We're always in need for new toys to hit our selves and greatly appreciate new donations. We do however ask that you call or email us in advance with a list of the items you wish to donate so we can confirm we're able to accept the items and that we're not double or tripling up on items that we may already have multiples of. Can I volunteer?Yes. The Frankston Toy Library relies on volunteers to assist with cleaning and sorting our toys. We are often in need of volunteers to assist us on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. You may be able to volunteer regularly, fortnightly or just on occasion. Whatever the situation, we would be interested in talking to you. Events: we also need volunteers to help us at our major events and community events. All our volunteers require a Working With Children Check. Click here to apply for one.
